Hi all,
Well Blackpool was a great success those that went had a lovely time, and are considering going again
next year. Let me know if you think you might like to go to this very sociable weekend in Blackpool.
Its the last weekend in May every every year.
We are now taking bookings for the October Blackpool this year, this is extremely competitive, not so
many social things organized but if you are interested please let me know, especially if you want to
book into the Comfort hotel which is literally at the back door of the Winter Gardens, and is extremely
reasonable. He now gives me a very good price as we’ve used him so much.
As far as holidays go, the Bridge/ dancing holiday to Torquay in April next year is now fully booked.
Should you wish to go, please let me know urgently and we may be able to secure extra rooms.
However, I am teaming up with a Welsh dancing school, and doing a Dance holiday from March 29 th ,
to April 2 nd the price is £280.00 for 4 nights half board, if you wish to go, we have been given a cut off
dead line for deposits end of June. Any dancers wishing to go, this will be a great few days, and if we
had enough I am happy to book a coach. Please tell your friends, we can extend this beyond our
school, any dancers welcome.
New class – Next Monday 8 th June, 11 am til 12 £7.00 – Please spread the word, great opportunity to
start at the beginning, and not have to turn out of an evening. We will be starting with basic Waltz, Cha
cha and Rythym.
June 27 th – No Good Woman and the Kingsnakes will be playing at Strictly Smartz, following on from
the folk festival. Fantastic band – spread the word.
July 5 th – Paddocks – competitions – Please be sure to give me your entries and purchase your tickets
– they are now available.
July 12 th – Possible Exam date. Still being reviewed. Apologies for the delay in confirming this date,
but I am working with another teacher, that will be entering her pupils, to enable us to run one.
July 25 th – Summer Ball – with a difference. A fun evening with another school coming. Great
opportunity to dress up and each school is going to have a team of competitors, battling it out, for a fun
team match – great entertainment for the spectators. Let me know asap if you would like to take part in
the team match or come to socialize. There will be a welcome drink and nibbles available.
August 14 th , – Friday night Social evening – 8.30 – 11pm £10.00 It would be a fish and chip supper
but cant get fish and chips on a Friday, hopefully being later you will have time to have dinner and
come dancing – great chance to meet up with old friends, and meet new ones from different classes. All
welcome. Beginners especially, your attendance is important to continue the dance school. Get
involved, its never too soon. Let me know if you are interested.
